Alec is a pretty good actor with a lot of accomplishments, and far left accolades for his ability to pretend to be people smarter or nicer than he is. The problem is while having low education credentials (he was pretty much given an honorary acting degree by NYU at age 36), he spends way too much of his time being a twitter troll and hypocrite while attacking everyone that isn't as far left or hypocritical as he is, usually on topics he knows nothing about: like science, economics, guns, politics, and so on. A wise man knows when to shut up about things he has little understanding of. Alec may be a fun guy to hang out with, or watch on TV, but he's not a wise man.

| Some felt that jumping on Alec was premature, and the right was harsh by behaving like the left with political opportunism over his accidental manslaughter of his director. That's a fair point. But others feel that people who live on sanctimony and political opportunism deserve to be hung by their own petard (and standards) when they fall short. |

Conclusion[edit | edit source]
You're allowed to be an idiot with opinions, but celebrity magnifies your message. If you're a twitter troll, and verbally abusive to women/gays/minorities (including your own daughter), and you shoot people through gross incompetence, you might not want to draw attention to yourself on those causes by ranting about Trump is evil because he can't control his tweets, or attacking Cheney or cops that shot people under less negligent circumstances, or about how much a champion of women you are. Just sayin'.
