I stopped buying their products because every router I had from them seemed to overheat and die after 2 years. After like 2 or 3 devices like this, I learned. Their reputation for routers is bad. For simple plastic accessories or other things it's not that bad.
During the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic they decided to EOL their Wemo NetCam. [1] This was incredibly shortsighted as a lot of people use these devices to monitor their second homes or summer properties over the Internet -- and they can't just fly there and/or replace these cameras when things are locked down. A 30 day sunset plan is beyond incompetently managed, and if I had one of their cameras and they did this, I’d never buy another of their products again. As it is, they certainly lost a lot of user trust.
Conclusion[edit | edit source]
Low grade products, with lower grade support and common sense.
